I made this card a few days ago for the sketch (shown below) challenge at Sweet Sunday. I used pattern papers and embellishments from the DIY Shop Collection from Crate Paper with an Ivory card base and red cardstock layers. The stamps are from Flourishes Heart Lines set and were stamped with Memento Rhubarb Stalk ink. Other supplies used were Nesties Oval and Scallop Dies, Cuttlebug EF Windowpane, and rhinestone heart stickers. Used Antique Linen Distress ink for sponging.
Challenges:
Sweet Sunday: Sketch #200
Simon Says: Bling it on. Used rhinestone hearts.

Cheery Lynn Challenge
This week the challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs is the theme of Thank You and to use at least one Cheery Lynn Designs Die. On my card, I have used Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish Die, Butterfly and Angel Wings Small #2 dies, and some dies from Build a Flower #1 and #2. I used the negative from a flourish die cut from White Cardstock that I layered over green cardstock which is the also the card base. I cut the butterfly from yellow cardstock and used a coral cardstock for the angel wings. The flowers were made with 3 different dies and attached with foam dots to the stem. I used a yellow pattern paper from My Mind's Eye (hard to see) for the flowers. I cut the word Thanks with a Silhouette file using my new Cameo. The white layer was embossed with Cuttlebug EF Polka Dots.
I enjoy all your comments. Thank you.

I Got A Cameo From Santa
Hello! Sorry I have not been posting much lately. I have been too busy creating to stop and post on my blog. I guess I was a good girl this year because Santa brought me a Silhouette Cameo with a lot of extras this Christmas. And what fun it is to play and learn with the Cameo....I had no idea how easy it is to use and all the many things that it can do. I love that you can store files to use on the computer and not have to have storage area for them like Cricut cartridges. I hope to show you some of my projects over the next few days. Take a look at this:
I made this lace cube box with a tent top using one piece of cardstock and a Silhouette file and the Cameo. I placed a battery tea light inside ...left top open so I can turn light on and then tie close with a ribbon. I will be back again today with another post of some cards that I have made for challenges.
I hope everyone enjoyed Christmas with your family and friends. What new Crafting items did you receive? I enjoy all your comments. Thank you. Theresa

Winter is Here
Winter is definitely here! I have been busy making calendars, creating a photo book of quilts made by my Mother, making cards, and decorating for Christmas. I also spent some time spending a $100 GC that I won from Joan's Gardens...how fun was that! I thought today would be a good day to post a snowy scene. This is a card that I made with Heartfelt Creations Christmas Collections using one of the panels and adding an oval frame with nesties die, some embossing with CB Snowflakes EF, and some sparkle with Clearstar pen and Stickles. I used a navy card base. Sentiment is from Annabelle Stamps.
Hope you are staying warm! I enjoy all your comments. Thank you. Theresa

View from the Window on a Snowy Day
Hello! Looking from the inside out is the theme of this card. My card today is a bit unusual but I had to go a bit out of the box to meet the Challenge at Joan's Gardens this week. Her challenge is to use any colors, window, trees, and a product from Joan's Gardens. The tricky part was that I have no window dies so I had to make up my window with rectangle dies and to make it look more like a window, I fashioned curtains and a valence with pleated and embossed paper. I wall-papered the room with a floral print paper and used a wood grain print for the floor. Since the window looks to an outside view I created a winter scene that I stamped in black ink and colored with pencils. I hope the trees in the scene are enough to cover the required tree element. The Stampendous stamp "Snowy Postcard" is from Joan's Gardens that I recently won. Only a portion of the stamp is shown through the window. My card turned out a bit on the clean and simple style. Butterfly Card
Hello! I am here to make a very quick post for a challenge at Flutter By Wednesday which is almost closed and 2 more challenges. I have been trying to use products that I have never used...why have them and not use them? The Butterfly was cut in Yellow CS with a never used Cheery Lynn Lace Flourish Butterfly Die. For this CAS card I used a 6" card base of orange CS with a simple srtip of a striped Pattern Paper and embossed the unknown sentiment with Ranger Embossing Pearl Gold Powder. Then I attached the center of the butterfly to the card.
Challenges:
Flutter By Wednesdays: Open with use of a butterfly or fairy.
Simon Says: Thanks/Thanksgiving.
Less is More: Use designer paper in a CAS way

Sweet Moments for Joan

I made a clean and simple card using a Cheery Lynn Doily as my frame cut with French Pastry Die. To the center I added a verse stamped with Heartfelt Creations Sweet Memories Stamp and Memento Tuxedo Black ink. This was added to a layer of White Cardstock embossed with Cuttlebug EF Polka Dots trimmed with Black Satin Ribbon. All was attached to a card base of Black Cardstock. Finished with Black Crystals on the design.

Christmas Flip Card
Welcome to my studio! Recently at a meeting of my stamping club we made a flip card presented by Cheryl. She had precut and scored all the parts for the card with a die specially made for this technique which I believe was from Stampin' Up. I decided to make this style of card just using SB circle dies and my Scor-pal instead of spending more money. (DH will appreciate that?)
After a few trials on copy paper, I worked out the technique successfully and can also use other shape dies to create other designs. This was not difficult at all and saved me about $20-30 which I spent online this morning. My finished card is a Christmas card shown partly closed in above photo and opened in photo below. I made this mostly with scraps and leftovers.
Challenges:
Glory of Christmas: Special Card Form
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra: Anything goes
Supplies:
Paper: GKD Red and Ivory CS, Authentique Wonder Collection including die cut on the front
(Joy to the World)
Stamp: GKD Christmas Verse
Ink: Memento Rhubarb Stalk
Nesties Circle Dies
Cuttlebug EF Allegro
Scor-pal
Christmas Bell 3D Stick on from Susan Winget
Ribbon from Joann's
Is this a flip or swing card?
I enjoy all your comments. Thank you. Theresa

One Layer Cards with Thanks
I did not plan another post today but the deadline for the Less Is More Week 145 challenge is approaching and I did want to do a couple of entries for their One Layer Thank You card challenge.
For the first card, I simply used 2 embossing folders, one a floral border and one a small Thanks EF. I embossed the 2 on White Cardstock and then highlighted the raised areas with Memento Rich Cocoa, Bamboo Leaves, and Peanut brittle inks. The EF's were Sizzix for the text and Cuttlebug for the Border.
I used a Sizzix EF for this second one layer card by embossing the front of the card of Green Cor'dinations Paper and then sanding to reveal the embossing. Easy Peasy!
I enjoy all your comments. Thank you. Theresa

Welcome! This card was made using a sketch from Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge #246 in which we had a choice between 2 sketches shown below. I chose the one on the right in the graphic. I did something that I do not remember doing before....I chose not to color the stamped image because I thought it looked so good on the layered pattern papers just stamped with Memento Espresso Truffle ink. I think this looks very contemporary in an elegant way. I used Flourishes stamps from Dahlias and Zinnias (sentiment). I added a satin ribbon and button from my collection to complete the card.

Grab a Cup for Flourishes Challenge

I grabbed a cup of coffee this morning and made this card to enter the Flourishes FLLCNOV13 Grab a Cup Challenge to be inspired by this fantastic photo (shown above) as we create something equally warm and inviting. I chose to be inspired by the colors in the photo and used Flourishes Warm Winter Wishes stamp set. (I used this because I do not have any Flourishes stamps with cups or coffee- but maybe I'll win one?). My card may not be that warm featuring a snow man but his winter wishes might warm you up.

Vintage Christmas with Some Recycle Items

Most of the items on the card were in my Christmas box of items that I had saved for using on Christmas cards.
I began with a card base of ivory card stock which I sponged the edges with Antique Linen Distress Ink. The next layer is a pattern paper from Heartfelt Creations that I embossed with Cuttlebug EF Allegro and distressed with a distress tool and Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink. I added some paper ribbon saved from a gift on this layer and on the side edge of the inside of the card. I also wrapped some recycled twine before attaching to the base. Next I added the image also distressed with a tool and ink. Attached a premade ornament stick on and piece of plastic holly pulled from my goodie box for the finishing touches. (I had trimmed the outer edge of the card front so the ribbon on the inside shows.)Challenges:
Sugar Creek Hollow: Anything Vintage Goes
Alphabet Challenge: T is for Twine
Cards For Men: Theme is Merry Christmas....thought this man walking in the snow was perfect for man's card.
Shopping Our Stash Weekly Challenge: Use something already on your desk. Had the image and box of saved items on my desk.

Lots of Gold
I am back with a second post today. Sorry, my photo does not show this card too well. I made this for Annabelle Stamps November challenge with the theme of "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas". I used stamp sets Stamped for Christmas and Decorated Christmas from Annabelle Stamps as well as her dies for the ornament and border. Cardstocks used were Gold Metallic and Red from GKD. Versamark and Ranger Gold EP were used for the sentiment and Red EP was used on the ornament. I finished with a shiny metallic ribbon and bow.
I enjoy all your comments. Thank you. Theresa
